What's new in SuSolid 3.0
- Works in SketchUp 2026. Earlier versions could make SketchUp 2026 crash.
- An Analyse Report lists every group that isn't solid and what is wrong with it. Show zooms to the group. Fix runs the repairs it needs, and one Undo takes them all back.
- Analyse marks flat groups, such as the 2D people in SketchUp's templates, with a tip to use Push/Pull. They are no longer shown as holes.
- Very short edges, where SketchUp can fail to make faces, are marked.
- German, next to English, Chinese, French, Italian and Spanish.

The free version has Analyse, the Analyse Report and Delete Single Edges. Analyse shows every problem in your model, so you can see what SuSolid finds before you buy.

Install
SuSolid comes as one .rbz file (free or full) and needs SketchUp 2017 or newer. You don't need to unzip it. Save it somewhere you can find it, then:
- Open Extensions › Extension Manager. In SketchUp 2017 and 2018 it is under Window › Extension Manager.
- Click Install Extension, choose the
.rbzfile and click Open. - Answer Yes when SketchUp asks whether you trust the extension.
- If the SuSolid toolbar doesn't appear, turn it on in View › Toolbars.
After installing
- The commands are in the Extensions › SuSolid menu, and the toolbar is called SuSolid in View › Toolbars.
- From free to full: install the full
.rbzthe same way. It replaces the free version. Restart SketchUp afterwards; Extensions › SuSolid › Settings then ends with your name. - An older SuSolid installed? SuSolid 3.0 tells you if it finds one. Remove it, so SuSolid isn't loaded twice: delete
susolid.rband theSuSolidfolder from SketchUp's Plugins folder, then restart SketchUp. - Problems? See installation questions.

- Rewritten to meet the rules of SketchUp's Extension Warehouse.
- Fixes the crash in SketchUp 2026.
- New Analyse Report: a list of every group that isn't solid, what is wrong with it, and Show and Fix buttons. Fix runs the repairs the group needs, and one Undo takes them all back.
- Analyse marks flat groups, such as the 2D people in SketchUp's templates, and suggests Push/Pull instead of showing their outline as holes. The repair tools leave them alone.
- Analyse marks very short edges, where SketchUp can fail to make faces, and says what to do about them.
- The repair tools show their progress in the status bar.
- Flip Reversed Faces turns a whole shell the right way in one pass.
- Several repair bugs fixed (Close Holes, Repair Distorted Faces, Group inside groups).
- Every tool is one step in Edit > Undo. Undo now takes back Delete Coplanar cleanly.
- Languages: German added, and every language now covers all menus and messages.
SuSolid has been sold since 2011.
